Did you know?

  • AppointWomen is a free service for Australian women.
  • You can join AppointWomen and update your contact details and resume online at any time.
  • There are hundreds of Australian Government boards and committees.
  • Office for Women receives regular requests from Australian Government Departments seeking appropriate and qualified women to appoint to these boards and committees.
  • Keeping your resume current will assist Office for Women  to match your skills and experience to those required.

How do I register with AppointWomen?

  1. Click here to fill in the on-line registration form (making a note of your username and password) and press Submit.
  2. Open your email browser and click the validation link in the acknowledgement email.
    Note: You must do this in order to validate your account and be able to login to the website.

What can I do then?

Once you have validated your account, you can login to the AppointWomen website, keep your details current and build and update your resume as often as you wish. Follow these steps:

  • Go to the Login page and enter your Username and Password.
  • Click the Edit My Details link to update your contact details.
  • Click the My Resume link to build your resume using the on-line modules provided.
  • Use the Help/Feedback link to lodge any questions or comments about the website and our service.

Are you interested in registering with the private or not for profit sector?

AppointWomen provides services for Australian Government decision-making bodies only. Registration with AppointWomen is free.

If you are interested in board opportunities with private or not for profit organisations, registration with AppointWomen can connect you with the privately run Women on Boards organisation. Registration with Women on Boards is free, but parts of its service attract an annual subscription fee.

To send your contact details and resume to Women on Boards you need to have registered on AppointWomen and at least partially completed your Resume. You are then able to click a link to send these details to Women on Boards.

NOTE: The same username and password will log you into AppointWomen and Women on Boards websites. Do not re-register.

Registration with Women on Boards is voluntary, as is registration with AppointWomen.

Can I remove my name from AppointWomen?

You can ask for your details to be removed from AppointWomen at any time by sending an email to appointwomen@facsia.gov.au with "Unsubscribe me from AppointWomen" in the heading.

You will need to send a separate email to Women on Boards if you wish to unsubscribe from its service.
